6 Tips to help you find the right artwork for your living space

Art has the power to immediately improve the atmosphere in any space, creating a delicate impact on the surrounding. If you are enthusiastic about buying artwork for your living room or bedroom and want to understand how to choose the best option for you, this blog will definitely help you make a better decision.   Please let me share are a few tips which can lead you to choosing the perfect artwork which will brighten up the interior design of your living space.

Take your time and recognize what you want

Think carefully and avoid making any rash decisions. What might appeal to you right now, might not draw a connection with the room later. Try to imagine the big picture in your mind and then select the best piece.

Decide the genre of art you require

The foremost tip is to decide the tone of your artwork. If you want a formal look, you need to go for a dark and symmetric drawing to pose a conventional vibe. But if you are looking for something casual, then an abstract painting might be a better option.

Make sure the canvas size complements your walls

Decide on a frame or canvas size according to the dimensions of your space and walls. Take measurements if needed to make sure the artwork will suit perfectly.

Understand the color schemes and patterns

It is not only about the intricacy of artwork. While choosing an artwork you need to keep in mind the colors scheme of the room and the wall you want to adorn with it. If it is plain white, then darker shades would be better. However, if the wall is colored, then you have to make a contrast so the work won’t blend in with the environment too much.

Look for the right frames

Some artworks, like fine art prints or a painted canvas, might need a good frame to really bring out the work. Generally, black and white frames are used for art. In case your house has a wooden attire or a minimalistic Scandinavian look, then timber frames or light wood-colored frames are ideal. There are many online shops selling customized frames, so you can pick and choose your favorite!

Art Prints vs. Original Art

Many artists are digitalizing there original painting and drawings these days, allowing for both preservation and for the creation of affordable fine art print reproductions. There are many types and styles of art prints and posters available for sale.

If you are looking for a high-quality fine art print , then giclée print is one of the best options. Giclée, in literal terms, means “to spray”, relating to the type of printing technique used in the process. It’s a technique which will produce a HD print which will most closely match the original artwork. The hand-made fine art is scanned and printed on a canvas or fine art paper coated with a protective layer to preserve the non-fading ink.

Some buyers will always prefer the original versions of the art piece and there are online platforms for original works as well.
