My original work is signed on the back so there is no visible signature on the print. My signature is not part of the image.

Limited Edition - Up to 150

In Limited  Edition I won't print more than 150 in a series across sizes.

Because signing the prints could interfere with framing preferences, the prints will arrive with a signed and numbered certificate of authenticity.

Special Edition - Up to 30

Limited Edition Prints sold on KOKO Art are hand signed and numbered, I won't print more than 30 in a series.

Because signing the prints could interfere with framing preferences, the prints will arrive with a signed and numbered certificate of authenticity.

Custom Sizes

Custom print sizes are available for some limited edition prints. Please let me know the required sizes and I will explore available options for you.

Some of the Special Edition prints are available in the offered (original) size only.

Artwork FAQ

  • How is a print created from an original painting?

First, I create an original painting in my art studio. In most cases, the paintings are done with acrylic paint on canvas.

When the painting is finished, I take it to a professional to make a museum-quality digital scan. The print  is derived from this digital file, using the most advanced printing technique available today (called "Giclee"), high quality non-fading ink and excellent cotton fine art paper.

  • I want to frame my picture. What should I do?

All my prints have a white border around them, which allows for easy framing and matting. After receiving the print, you can take it to your local framer, or use an online service in your country such as:

    USA

    https://www.matboardandmore.com/

If you wish to have a mat (passe-partout) please make sure the mate (passe-partout) opening fits the Actual Image Size exactly. Since the entire composition of the image is important, avoid "cutting off" parts of the Actual Image with a frame or mat.

    PLEASE NOTE:

Please handle the artwork with care and avoid touching the print in order to avoid scrates or other damage.

  • The size I need is not listed on the website. Are there other options?

Please contact me info@kokoartprint.com and we can discuss the possibilities.

  • Do you sell your original paintings?

Yes. I sell original art at ARTFINDER.COM

Please contact me for inquiries at info@kokoartprint.com

  • How do I care for my print?

As a general rule, you should be very gentle with your print. The fine art papers that I use are “fibrous” and are very susceptible to marking and should be treated with the same care as you would an original watercolour painting.

If you have just received your prints, you must first remove any tape used for packaging. Take extra care to find and discard any tape as even the smallest piece could end up on your print and damage the surface. Discard and recycle all cardboard material used in packaging and do not re-use the cardboard material for long-term storage because it is not archival.

You should always handle the print by the edges and make sure that your hands are clean because the oils from you hands can affect and reduce the archival quality and leave marks on prints - especially in dark areas.

Alway try and use both hands to support your print to eliminate the possibility of bending or kinking it. A crease or kink in the print is permanent.

Do not use your hands to wipe off dust as this could damage the delicate surface. It is preferable to use canned air but extreme care should be taken to keep the can upright so no liquid is sprayed on the print. A soft dust brush can be gently used as long as the brush is clean and free of any dirt or oils.

You should keep moisture or condensation from getting on the print. Although the ink is quite water resistant, water can still cause damage and leave marks which will be permanently visible once dry.

If possible, allow a few extra days for your print to “breathe” before framing. This will insure the inks can completely set and allow gas to escape.

Ideally your print should be framed in a method allowing for natural expansion and contraction to occur. If you are taping your print to a mat board it is highly recommended to not tape all around the print as this may cause your print to buckle. Prints have a tendency to expand and contract more in high humidity and a hinging method of framing your print is recommended. If you are unable to do this yourself than I would have a professional framer do this for you.

Ideally you should hang your framed prints in a location that is not in direct sunlight as this may cause fading or discolouration over time.

With just a little care and by following this guide, you will be able to enjoy your art prints for many years to come. If you have any other questions about the care of your prints, please contact me at info@kokoartprint.com
